I’ve been thinking it for a long time and why no-one says it, is beyond me!
If, it’s not raining don’t wear your hoodie over your head YOU CRIMINAL!
We have all seen the news photo of people who deliberately plan to commit crimes and most have a hoodie over their head to hide their face.
Trayvon Martin was no different!
He was an impressionable youth watching TV, music video’s, and living life in 2012. Those that we put up on a pedestal are music musicians, actors, athletes, and for whatever reason everyone in media, Hollywood films, yadda yadda, glorifies putting a hoodie over your head as “Sexy”, “Cool”!
The facts of this case are simple. Zimmerman is a racist nut-job who is a wannabe cop, thus the 300 calls to 911 as a neighborhood watch-master Captain America in his own head. Trayvon is a kid who like many of American society’s confused kids wears his hoodie over his head for a fashion statement. Trayvon is also a cocky young kid who doesn’t know when to run as his girlfriend suggested and when to not confront others. Trayvon confronted and the other guy Zimmerman who had more fire power than fists, shot him dead. Who hit who first, or last isn’t known.
It’s very possible Treyvon attacked Zimmerman! It’s very possible Trayvon is the one who was the aggressor and Zimmerman was only defending himself. Sure, he never should have been following Treyvon to begin with but that in itself is not a crime. What if Zimmerman was an 85 year old lady who was following Trayvon. Would most of you change your mind, and say, she’s just an crazy old bird, ignore her.
Why is it that everyone is so quick to act as judge and jury when you haven’t the foggiest clue of what really happened? Who says Treyvon is not to blame?!
News is coming out now about how there was a fist fight. So, it’s easy to conclude that there was not just a following and shooting scenario, there was a following , fist fight, shooting scenario.
Should Zimmerman be charged with murder? Trayvon didn’t have a gun. Zimmerman got his assed kicked by the 17 year old. And he finished the fight with his gun. At what point do you have the right to defend yourself by whatever means necessary? I say no. Trayvon should have ran but instead opted to confront his follower.
The bigger picture is Trayvon and society acceptance of wearing a hoodie in plain daylight and no adverse weather!
Perhaps the Grand Jury should be trying to put in jail all of the media, music executives and any of American society which glamorizes “famous” in looking like criminals!
I say, how about we make it legal for anyone to shoot anyone wearing a hoodie and it’s not raining or cold!

Actually Trayvon did run- and the evidence and Zimmermans own 911 calls support this. Zimmerman was also instructed by the 911 dispatcher not to persue him. Likewise- the neighboorhood watch program- of which Zimmerman was NOT a member explicitly forbids both persuit and carrying a gun.
And as to your final line- you do actually know that it WAS raining?

It doesn’t matter, the blog post isn’t really about this particular person or event. It’s more about hoodies and what they “imply” as “marketed” to us all by music executives and Hollywood.
